BASE ACCESS ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Foreign National Access: Foreign Nationals MUST be approved by the NASWI CO prior to being granted ESCORTED access onto the installation. This process requires completing the Base Access Form (SECNAV 5512) and an additional Foreign National Application. The Foreign National Application must be signed by their escorts Commanding Officer and submitted to the EA Week Coordinators by 29 June 2026. The Foreign National Application process may take up to 30 days to process.

Who requires temporary access?: Guests holding a valid DoD credential (i.e. Dependent ID) are not required to complete the Base Access Form, however their Full Name, Date of Birth, ID #, and Citizenship must still be submitted to their command representative or the EA Week coordinators for access to the NASWI Flight Line where the Ball is being held.

According to the DoD Sponsor Escort Policy, A DoD credentialed holder (must be 18+) can sponsor guests (US citizens ONLY). Sponsorship allows authorized DoD US GOVT ID cardholders (CAC, retired & spouse ID cards) to take responsibility for verifying and authorizing up to five (5) non-affiliated personnel for access onto NASWI within the same vehicle. All nonaffiliated personnel must present a REAL ID compliant, valid government-issued photo identification. Sponsorship capability is dependent upon current Force Protection Conditions and may be restricted or suspended at any time. This policy does not apply to foreign nationals. Foreign nationals must be vetted following the Foreign National Access procedures.
